Government withdraws PCR test rule to seek medical care

Kathmandu, March 18

The Ministry of Health and Population has decided to eliminate the requirement of a COVID-19 PCR test to seek medical treatment.

According to Ministry joint-spokesperson Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, people who have been fully vaccinated and show no symptoms or symptoms of the infection will no longer be required to take the test to receive medical care.

Before, the provision was mandatory when visiting a hospital for treatment.

However, the possession of a vaccinated card is necessary to get the facility.
