Kathmandu, March 16

India has accepted the nomination of Dr. Shankar Sharma as Nepal’s Ambassador to New Delhi.

Nepal’s Foreign Ministry wrote to India for an agreemo on December 10 last year, after a parliamentary hearing.

It took as many as 95 days for India to communicate the matter with Nepal.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari will officially appoint him as the ambassador to India, a
government source said.

Dr. Sharma has already served as Ambassador of Nepal to the United States of America (USA).

Along with Sharma, Gyan Chandra Acharya and Shreedhar Khatri have been appointed
ambassadors to the United Kingdom and the United States respectively.
