Kathmandu, March 11
The Election Commission (EC) has called a meeting with representatives of political parties to inform them of the local election preparations.
The EC will inform the leaders of the political parties on the progress of the local election
preparations at a meeting scheduled for 11:30 a.m. today.
The commission has requested each political party to send two representatives including a
leader.
Eighty political parties have applied for registration with the commission for the upcoming local elections.
