Kathmandu, March 10
Fourteen people have died in a bus accident in Sankhuwasabha district on Thursday morning.
The ill-fated bus (Ba 4 Kha 735) was heading towards Damak of Jhapa from Madi when the
incident occurred at around 5:30 am today.
According to DSP Lal Dhwaj Subedi, the chief of Sankhuwasabha’s District Police Office,
fourteen passengers’ bodies have been retrieved so far. The identities of those who deceased have yet to be ascertained. Five people have been rescued alive.
The bus had fallen some 300 meters down the road.
