The Upper Trishuli-3B project’s construction has picked up speed

The People’s Hydropower Program’s 37 MW Upper Trishuli 3B Hydropower Project, which is being built in Rasuwa and Nuwakot, is moving forward. The Upper Trishuli 3B Hydropower Project is currently 58 percent complete in terms of physical construction.

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has indicated that work on the project is underway, with the goal of completing it by September 2023. The project’s development was put on hold for almost 15 months when Chinese employees returned home to celebrate the New Year in the second week of February 2020.

Collection of the remaining cash for shares in a timely manner

Trishuli Hydropower Company Limited, the project’s promoter, will shortly collect the
remaining funds for the People’s Hydropower Program shares. The corporation sold 3.7 million shares to the general public for just Rs 10 each, with a minimum face value of Rs 100.

Procedure for the People’s Hydropower Program (Operation and Management), 2075 there is a provision to demand payment only once the project has made the remaining 50% physical development and the shareholders of the original group of the firm have consented to take all of the money.

”Now that the rules of the process have been finished, the shareholders will be contacted shortly to collect the remaining Rs 90, and other shares in the general public group will be accelerated,” said managing director Gautam.

Trishuli Hydropower Company Limited, the project’s promoter, owns a 30/30 percent founding share in NEA and Nepal Telecom. The corporation would own 5% of the village and municipality of Rasuwa and Nuwakot, 5% of local financial institutions in Rasuwa and Nuwakot, 10% of inhabitants in Rasuwa, and Nuwakot, 15% of the general public, and 5% of NEA and Telecom workers. The expected building cost is Rs. 7.44 billion, with a projected interest rate of Rs. 780 million throughout the construction term. The project has received 30% equity (2.47 billion) and 70% credit financing (5.76 billion).

During the dry season (December 2 to May 29), the project will generate 134.88 million units of energy, and during the rainy season (June 1 to October 31), it will generate 157.71 million units (May 30 to December 1).
