The constitution provides for an end to all discrimination against women: PM Deuba

Kathmandu, March 8

On the occasion of the 112th International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba sent his best wishes to all.

The Day is being celebrated under the national slogan “Social Justice and Gender Equity:
Guarantee of Sustainable Development”.

In a message today, Prime Minister Deuba remembered women with high respect who
contributed to women’s rights and to ensure justice.

Women’s cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements are celebrated on March 8 every year around the world.

“The Constitution of Nepal has resolved to build a proportional, inclusive, and equitable society by eliminating all forms of gender discrimination,” he said.

Prime Minister Deuba also sent his best wishes to all Nepali sisters, women’s rights activists, and all individuals and organizations working to protect and promote women’s rights on this special occasion.
