Kathmandu, March 6

After the continuance of the CPN-UML lawmakers’ protest on Sunday, the House of
Representatives (HoR) meeting was adjourned.

The main opposition party UML lawmakers started chanting slogans as soon as the HoR
meeting started at 1 p.m.

Despite their chanting, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota allowed Minister for Law, Justice, and
Parliamentary Affairs Dilendra Prasad Badu to present the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority’s annual report. On behalf of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Badu presented the annual report to the House.

Similarly, the Speaker proposed an 11 member impeachment recommendation committee.
Despite the fact that the UML is protesting in parliament, the list of MPs in the proposed
impeachment committee includes UML lawmakers.

However, as the UML protest did not go down, Speaker Sapkota postponed the meeting till
Sunday, March 13.
