Another licensed NFT collection featuring Bing Dwen Dwen to launch on Thursday as love affair with mascot continues

Following the popularity for the first release of officially licensed Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics themed non-fungible token (NFT) digital pins featuring multiple designs of Bing Dwen Dwen, and their listing prices soaring dozens of times, the second drop is set to hit the market on Thursday Pacific Time.

The newly released legendary box includes different variations of rarity art while featuring six different variations of Bing Dwen Dwen, according to the official trading platform-nWayPlay.

Each box will contain one legendary art and two epic pins at a price point of $349, with only 200 boxes for sale and one box maximum per purchase. The sales will go on live at 9 am Pacific Time while buyers can join the queue starting at 8 am.

The listing price of one Bing Dwen Dwen pin from the launched NFT collections has surged to more than 10 times of the original issuance price for the total set of three pins.

For instance, the Global Times discovered that the listing price for a Bing Dwen Dwen NFT pin listed on nWayPlay’s marketplace ranged from $450 up to $1,350.

In comparison, the original issuance price for the previous licensed epic box which included three pins among 15 kinds of Bing Dwen Dwen performing various winter sports was $99 each.

Industry observers said that compared with physical souvenirs, blockchain-based NFTs are able to give a better IP protection thanks to its tamper-proof function.
