Han’s requirement for an environment that is conducive to the operation of Yak & Yeti hotel

Kathmandu, February 16

Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) has urged Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale to make it easier for the hotel industry to operate effectively in the aftermath of Covid-19.

According to HAN, a team led by HAN chairperson Sirjana Rana met with Tourism Minister Ale to discuss current difficulties in the tourism sector. Chairman Rana informed the audience about the work of Han, which has been successful in promoting, developing, and protecting Nepal’s tourism industry.

She stated there was support for the regularization of revenue and fees mandated by the state, stating that no individual or entity should depart from the obligation of remittance of revenue, taxes, and fees established by law.

Chairman Rana stated that there was a problem in providing pre-booked services under the contract, referring to the cancellation of the license of the five-star hotel Yak & Yeti, which has made important contributions to the promotion of tourism in Nepal.She stressed the importance of Han’s assistance in upholding state laws, as well as the hotel’s contribution to the national economy and job creation.
