Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has said that the alliance will be formed in the local level election as per the need.
In a meeting with leaders and cadres at the district office of Nepali Congress Kavrepalanchok in Banepa on Monday evening, he claimed that the central direction of the party would not affect the local elections.
“The rural municipalities and municipalities are free to decide whether the party could ally with another in the local levels election. However, the district working committee of the party could work in coordination to this end,” he said, arguing it would be beneficial. If the centre directs for the local level election preference, it would not help meet the expected result, Thapa added.
Leader Thapa said that the impeachment against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana was natural. “There are many allegations against him. It is his role to destroy the court,” Thapa said. He also claimed that he had been in favor of impeachment against Chief Justice Rana for a long time.
Nepali Congress Kavrepalanchok has been conducting an organization expansion campaign at the ward level since February 13. It has been stated that fraternal organization expansion, membership distribution, and toll committee will be formed at the ward level under the organization expansion campaign till February 19.
