PM Sher Bahadur Deuba and Pushpa Kamal Dahal have committed to pass MCC. On the initiative of the United States, Prime Minister Deuba and former Prime Minister Dahal have agreed to continue the alliance and pass the MCC as soon as possible by creating a conducive environment.

CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli advised Prime Minister Deuba to break the alliance with Madhav Kumar Nepal and Prachanda. He assured Deuba to support the MCC proposal in Parliament if Deuba dismiss the alliance. Leader Gurung also told me that Oli was pressuring Deuba to move forward together and that Prime Minister Deuba had assured Chairman Dahal that whatever Oli said, he would not dismiss the current alliance. However, PM Deuba said: “Agree to table the MCC in parliament, but you (Prachanda) don’t need to vote in the favor of MCC.”
