The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has decided to conduct training programs in all the provinces focusing on local level elections. Party president KP Sharma Oli will inaugurate the two-day training program on Friday.
The inaugural session will be attended by the office bearers and members of the party central committee, the office bearers of the provincial committee and the office bearers of the district committee, and the trainees participating in the training.
With the government announcing the date of local elections, the UML is preparing to launch a nationwide campaign. UML general secretary Shankar Pokharel on Tuesday instructed all the seven state committees to make necessary preparations.
In the letter of the General Secretary, the government has decided to hold the local level election on the 13th of May, 2022 in a single phase due to the continuous pressure of the party, the urgency of the Election Commission, and the warnings expressed by the people. It is mentioned that a program is being organized to keep the subordinate committee, leaders, and cadres in a state of readiness to make the election in favor of the party.
UML has stated that it is going to conduct training programs on issues such as building a strong, dynamic, and disciplined party and political organization. The training will cover the party’s five years of achievements and experiences at the local level, as well as political, legal, and practical aspects of the election.
