Kamal Thapa signals new party announcement

Kathmandu, February 7

Former RPP president Kamal Thapa has indicated the formation of a new party.

Stating that Nirmal Niwas had interfered in the party's general convention, Thapa had a discussion with office bearers, central members and former central members on Monday.

Stating that there was no progress in the dialogue with Chairman Rajendra Lingden on Friday, he said that he would look for alternatives if his issues were not addressed even when the local elections were announced. He said, ”If the theoretical, organizational and ideological aspects I have raised are not addressed, we may have to look for alternatives.” Get ready for that situation. ‘

He also urged the leaders to support him in case he seeks an alternative. He said earlier, ”I will not pressure you, listen to your inner soul.”

However, he said that he was ready to stay in RPP if the issues raised by him were addressed. RPP officials participating in the meeting, however, urged Chairman Rajendra Lingden not to make a hasty decision.

According to people close to Thapa, he is preparing to open a new party. During Corona’s third wave, he worked on legislation, political proposals and more. He will walk to Makwanpur home district on Monday and will have a dialogue with the leaders and cadres of the district. It is said that a decision will be taken after that.
