The Election Commission has stated that all the necessary preparations have been completed in the polling stations in all the seven states for the polling of the National Assembly members to be held on Magh 12.
Voting for the 19 vacant seats in the National Assembly will be held on Wednesday from 9 am to 3 pm. Voters from different districts have started coming to the respective polling stations for voting.
The commission has identified eight polling stations and 14 polling booths. A maximum of 10 staffs, including election officials, have been deployed in each polling station. The commission has already sent ballot papers to the offices of the election officials of all the states on Magh 7.
There are a total of 2,025 voters in seven states. In this election, 532 state assembly members and 1,493 local level chiefs and deputy chiefs will cast their votes.
According to the commission, 10 percent more ballot papers have been sent to the existing
voters in the state.
