Kathmandu, January 23
The name of Madhesh Pradesh, which was passed by more than two-thirds of the votes on
Magh 3, has been published by the state government in its gazette. But the map of Nepal has been kept old in the state gazette where this information was published. The government has also said that it will rectify the mistake.
The federal government had passed a new map covering Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura on 31 Jestha 2077 BS. However, the state government has kept the old map in the gazette without putting a new one.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Surendra Mahato says
that this may have happened as they have been carrying out activities with the old map from the very beginning. ”It simply came to our notice then. This is a mistake, ‘he says,’ and it will be corrected. ‘
Spokesperson of the Madhes government and Finance Minister Shailendra Sah says that he
could not understand about it. ”If so, that’s a mistake. That fact must be taken into account. ”
