A meeting of the ruling coalition is being held to set a date for the local level

A meeting of the ruling coalition is being held today to discuss issues including the date of local elections. The meeting of the ruling party is going to be held on Jesth 5 considering the provision that the term will expire at the local level and the term cannot be extended as per the constitution.

After the Election Commission requested the government to fix the term of the local level
within the first week of January, the meeting held on Tuesday could not reach any conclusion but the meeting will resume on Thursday.
