“Nepal in the eyes of a Chinese journalist” out in market

Xinhua News Agency’s Kathmandu bureau chief Zhou Shengping’s decade-long stay in Nepal, including the non-fiction and realistic book “Mend Or End: in the eyes of Chinese journalists Nepal” book has come on the market.

The book, which has been on the market since last Sunday without a formal release due to the Corona epidemic, has also been published in the Nepali version for the Nepali people with the aim of knowing the perspective of China and their country through Chinese eyes, said journalist Zhou.

An interesting book worth Rs. 350 written by former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal, Vice
Chancellor of Nepal Pragya Pratisthan Ganga Prasad Upreti and Professor Yubaraj Sangraula of Kathmandu School of Law has been published by Janata Prakashan.

Politics, economy, culture and education, society and environment and travel and tourism in
five parts, In the divided 240-page Nepali edition, the 43-year-old author has made public his personal experiences and other events through various articles published in national and international media.

In addition to trying to address issues such as China’s ambitious development project BRI and US grant aid MCC agreement, Zhou sought to analyze Nepal’s geopolitical ties with his country China, its southern neighbor India and the United States.

Apart from Nepali politics, geopolitics and diplomacy, the author has made public his views on Nepal’s economy, its failures and its potential for success. The author also covers various aspects of the Sino-Nepalese relations, which entered the stage of strategic partnership immediately after the historic visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Nepal in October 2019.
