UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for an end to violence in Sudan. He stressed the need to find a solution to the problem through a peaceful process by ending the ongoing violence here.
He said the United Nations wanted to end the current violence and establish peace through
mediation. Secretary-General Guterres said, “First of all, we urge the government to stop this violence. We also call for an immediate end to the repression of recent protests.”
He said that the government had used deadly weapons to suppress the protests of the people here a few days ago and urged to stop such acts immediately. He says it is not easy to find a way out of such violence, and that the Sudanese government and all political forces must understand this in time.
