Kathmandu, January 17
Nepal and Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement for the development of football.
The All-Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAAF)
have signed a two-year agreement for the development of various aspects of football.
ANFA President Karma Chirring Sherpa and SAF Chairman Yasir Almisehal signed the agreement in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, according to ANFA.
According to the agreement, the two countries will host or visit each other for football
activities.
There will also be international friendly games between the two teams and training camps for different age groups (U-17, U-20, U-23).
Referee development, referee education, VAR skills and referee appointment programs in
various competitions will be exchanged between ANFA and SAF.
Similarly, various workshops, meetings and seminars will be conducted to support and
encourage expertise resource sharing in the development of youth football.
ANFA President Sherpa is currently on a visit to Saudi Arabia. Sherpa had earlier met with AFC Secretary General Dato ‘Windsor John and Joint Secretary General Wahid Kardani.
