460 million investments of Dolma Impact Fund in Foodmandu

Kathmandu, January 14

Dolma Impact Fund will invest around Rs 460 crore in e-commerce company Foodmandu. For this, Foodmandu and Dolma Impact Fund have signed a memorandum of understanding.

According to the Managing Director of the Fund, Vidyavaridh Sigdel, the investment has been made with the objective of extending the service of Foodmandu to cities outside Kathmandu and Pokhara and expanding it across the country in the future. The fund has invested in Foodmandu in the form of equity.

Foodmandu is Nepal’s leading online platform for ready-made food delivery. Of which more than three lakh customers are regular customers.

Customers order food / snacks through the app, website and phone, which are prepared by
restaurants in Foodmandu. Foodmandu has more than 800 restaurants. Which range from
budget to premium range.

Customers can decide which restaurant to order from online. It makes a confirmation call with information about the delivery time of the order and delivers the food prepared by the
restaurant to the customer’s home.

Dolma has invested with the objective of creating more employment in the country by further refining the company’s services and making it of international standard.
