Due to bad weather, some domestic flights have been affected. According to the Tribhuvan
International Airport (TIA), flights have been affected due to heavy fog at some airports in the Terai region since Sunday morning.
According to the TIA, five airports in the east, including Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Janakpur,
Simara and Tumlintar, have not been able to open due to heavy fog. Some other airports have started functioning as soon as the sun sets, said Tek Nath Sitaula, spokesperson of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
However, he said it was not yet known how many flights to various destinations were affected. However, there are no problems with international flights so far, said Sitaula.
