Meeting of top leaders of the ruling coalition continues in Baluwatar

The meeting of the coordination committee formed to facilitate the operation of the
government is continuing at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar. The meeting was
attended by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, General Secretary Dr Bedu Ram Bhusal, Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav, Babu Ram Bhattarai, Government Spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki and Janamorcha Vice President. Durga Poudel and others are participating.

The meeting is discussing the problems in running the government as well as the upcoming
National Assembly election. In the meeting of the committee held on Thursday, leader Ram
Chandra Poudel had submitted 16-point suggestions including removing the obstruction of the parliament and finding a solution to the court’s problem.

Leaders have said that discussions on the same suggestion have started today. Similarly, Poudel met CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli on Wednesday and discussed the issue of opening the parliament. The information was also discussed in the meeting of the committee. In Baluwatar, Poudel also briefed on the discussion with Oli on Thursday. In that context, Prime Minister Deuba had said that he was ready to go to Balkot to meet Oli himself if he did not come to Baluwatar.
