We will not allow UML to win a single seat in the election by forming an alliance: Joint General Minister Yadav

Newly elected Nepali Congress Joint General Minister Mahendra Yadav has claimed that he will not allow the CPN-UML to win a single seat in the upcoming election by forming an alliance. He argues that the election will be held under the leadership of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and the UML will not be allowed to win the election by forming a five-party alliance till the election.

Speaking at a program organized in the capital on Wednesday, he said, “The upcoming election will be held under the leadership of our party president Sher Bahadur Deuba. We will go to the next election with a five-party alliance, and defeat the regression altogether. We will not allow UML to win a single seat in the country.”

He also said that party president Deuba had tried to bring everyone together in the party. He argued that party president Deuba was considered as one of the leaders who practiced the highest form of democracy in Nepal and also within the Nepali Congress.

He said that Ram Chandra Poudel, who did not participate in the leadership selection process at the 14th General Convention, was nominated as a central member and placed second. He said, “Prakash Manji has nominated Vimalendra Nidhi in the Central Committee. He also nominated Krishna Prasad Sitaula. So far, 13 candidates have been nominated. It does not belong to any nominated faction. The senior leader is not by bringing votes, the leader who has sacrificed and done penance in the party is Ram Chandra Poudel. After Sher Bahadur Deuba, Poudel is the senior leader. Senior leaders should be obeyed by the minds of the cadres. There should be a leader who has contributed to the party. After Deuba, Poudel is in the minds of all the cadres now.” He also clarified that Chairman Deuba has not shown factional behavior to anyone.
