Migrant worker visa in Korea one more year

The entry permit of migrant workers working in South Korea through EPS has been extended for one more year. The South Korean government has extended the entry permit of Nepali migrant workers, including Nepali workers, who are about to expire from January 1 to April 12, due to the Corona epidemic.

Workers who come to work here initially get a three-year entry permit. After the expiration of that period, there is a rule to get entry permit for another four years and 10 months, but last year, due to the Corona epidemic, Korea has not been able to bring in the required number of migrant workers.

Uday Rai, president of the Migrant Workers’ Union (MTU), said that the entry permit has been extended only to those whose term is three years or four years and 10 months. With the addition of the entry permit, the three-year period and the current four-year and 10-month period will be extended to five years and 10 months.

Workers who complete their three-year term will be able to add one year and 10 months entry permit after completing four years by adding one more year. This decision has given an opportunity to earn more by living and working in South Korea, while those who are waiting to go to Korea after completing the entire process in Nepal and other countries, it is seen that the process may be prolonged due to Corona.
