Kathmandu, January 3
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have won the Spanish La Liga, while league leaders Real Madrid have lost to Getafe.
In Sunday’s game, Real lost 1-0 to Getafe and lost the opportunity to increase the points distance.
Enes Unal scored the decisive goal to give Getafe the victory.
Real lost to neighboring Atletico Madrid and arch-rivals Barcelona.
Real’s defeat has also benefited second-placed Atletico and Barcelona from Sevilla.
Real tops the list with 46 points from 20 games. Sevilla, who have played two games less than Real, are in second place with 38 points.
Atletico and Barcelona, who have played the same 19 games, have 32 and 31 points
respectively. After the victory, Atletico has risen to the fourth position and Barcelona to the
fifth position. Real Batis is in the third place with 33 points after playing 19 games.
Atletico beat Rayo Vallecano 2-0 on Sunday night. Both goals were scored by Angel Correa.
In the next match, Barcelona defeated Mallorca 1-0. Luke de Yong scored the decisive goal late in the first half to give Barcelona the victory.
