Home Minister’s directive to provide strong security in Kailali

Kathmandu, December 29

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed to provide security under the leadership of
Deputy Superintendent of Police in Lamki of Kailali and Deputy Inspector of Police in Janaki
Gaonpalika-9 Amravati.

Home Minister Khan on Tuesday instructed Additional Inspector General of Police Bishwa Raj Pokharel and Far-Western Police Chief Purushottam Kandel. Understanding the letter of
attention submitted by Janaki Village Municipality-Kathmandu Liaison Committee, Home
Minister Khan has directed to make strong security arrangements. At present, the police are deployed in Amravati under the leadership of Assistant Inspector of Police and in Lamki under the leadership of Inspector of Police.

Minister Khand said that the government is sensitive to save the lives of the citizens. He said that the government would spare no effort to guarantee security to the citizens.

In a letter submitted to Minister Khand, the team has not been able to settle the murder case of Bhupendra Baduwal in Tikapur on November 8 and has demanded an impartial investigation into the murder of Arjun Das in Janaki Gaunpalika-9, Amravati. It is mentioned in the letter that criminal incident has taken place in Kailali due to weak security monitoring.
