Kathmandu, December 29
I wanted to leave the Maoist center in 1972. So, I was gradually becoming inactive. I officially left from 2073. There are five reasons why I left the party and withdrew from active politics.(Mr. Lokendra Bista Magar).
First, politics has become very expensive, not everyone can do politics.
The second politics became very dirty. Everywhere you look today, the tide of protectionist
sentiment is flowing.
In the third, politics became very complex, conspiratorial and mysterious. The general
leadership and other cadres do not know what the big-headed leaders of the party do in the dark corner. At the same time, he announces the decision to the outside world. That went wrong, at least I didn’t go down without explaining myself first.
Fourthly, there is no wall of any kind between politics and crime, let alone a transparent
curtain. This means criminalization of politics and politicization of crime.
In the fifth, politics has become like a lifelong profession, business, contract, industry.
Does this ever happen? If this is the case, then why do we have to do politics in vain. After that, I have been fighting for the end of the party, for the end of our politics, for bloodshed and sweat. Sometimes I fought alone, sometimes I fought in groups with my friends. I don’t know where the other friends have gone, but since the party was not even an inch true, I did not want to stay in the Maoists and in all politics, so I left.
I was in the Maoist party when the party held its seventh general convention. It has also been debated. The General Convention also passed a good program. Even now, I have heard that Chairman Prachanda has brought such a sweet program. But who says what, who writes how well-styled sentences doesn’t make that sense? It’s fun to listen and read, but the main thing is work. But it is clear from the Maoists of the Hetauda General Convention that only big things happen in the party and it does not work.
What was passed from Hetauda was not implemented. The non-implementation affected the party. People like me had to leave because I couldn’t find a place to work. I thought that if the party takes the lead not only for politics but also for work related to production and labor, then the party leaders and cadres will not be of any use. These are all beggars, only cheaters. My conclusion is that party leaders and cadres are useless after being away from the people and labor.
Even now, I have heard that in the report submitted by my former comrade Prachanda, there is talk of working for 15 days a year and participating in the work of the cadres. But I don’t believe it. Why don’t you start talking, writing and saying such things a lot? But I would have been very happy if the comrades had acted in disbelief of my disbelief. Because that is what the Nepali people, the Nepalese country and we are looking for. Doesn’t it mean that everyone should work and eat, be honest, be respectful, not be ruled by others, and not let others rule unnecessarily? This is what communist ideology is all about.
I think it would have been great if I had done that. But life behavior and our decision making, and speaking do not do what it shows. They are just saying, writing, making rumors. The people have to say that one does, the other says. Therefore, many have not believed, and the people have laughed at Prachanda’s report.
The first thing is not to change the leadership. There is a famous Nepali proverb that says that you can’t see heaven without dying. If you really want to work, comrade Prachanda should start it. The cows must be chased away with sticks, but the people must go first. Even more than that. Some listen, others see. So, if the current leadership is working hard, others will think so. Giving instructions to others but not saying anything to others, not even breaking a sink, not even picking up a fallen leaf, protesting small matters, does it ever work?
I will give you a small example as far as Sukilamukila is concerned. Ordinary activists line up at the gate outside to meet Comrade Prachanda. By jumping that line, crossing the heads of the activists, the brokers reach Prachanda’s bed. Everything else is just sitting outside.
Therefore, before talking about returning to the village, doing labor, farming, the Chairman
Comrade and other Maoist leaders also had to change their lifestyle. With such a lifestyle,
behavior, working style, who would believe, and which class would be better off? The one
against whom it is said to fight, will be better off. Fighting on the side of the one against whom it is to be fought.
