District Police Office, Dang has arrested the jailor and a police constable in connection with the escape of a prisoner from Ghorahi Jail.
Former jailor Yuvaraj Pariyar, police in-charge of the jail, assistant police inspector Rudra
Bahadur Sen and police constable Ganesh Bahadur Tharu were arrested last evening, said jailor Amar Bahadur Oli of Ghorahi jail.
After Pariyar was released from jail and taken to the district administration office, Oli was sent to Ghorahi Jail as the new jailor.
According to the police, the then jailor Pariyar, police in-charge and constable were arrested
and an investigation was started after it was seen that they had helped in the escape of the
prisoner.
Earlier, two women, Dhan Bahadur Chaudhary and another man have been arrested. According to the police, Dhan Bahadur Chaudhary, who was taken to Rapti Institute of Health Sciences for treatment of Yamaraj Pariyar, who was living in jail on the charge of murder, reached the hotel without going to the hospital and Pariyar escaped from there.
