World Expo: Nepali chariots to be pulled to Dubai asking for rain

World Expo 2020 continues in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The expo, which started on October
1, will last for six months. This time Dubai has been given the responsibility of organizing the
expo which is organized every 5/5 years with the participation of countries from all over the
world.
Implementing Expert Group has represented Nepal in the Expo. Implementing Expert Group is
organizing a special program called 'National Day of Nepal' on 18 Paush (January 2).
According to Binayak Shah, National Program Coordinator of the group, the expo aims to
highlight the possibility of developing Nepal as an economic corridor between India and China,
two of the fastest growing economies in the world. "Nepal's history is golden," says Shah. "In
the past, Nepal took full advantage of the vote and India's business network. We are informing
investors that we can bring this history back."
The National Day, to be held on December 6, is planned to pull chariots according to Nepali
tradition, demanding rain in Dubai. "It is customary to pray for rain in Dubai on that day," said
Shah.
According to Shah, samples of Seto Machhindranath, Rato Machhindranath, Vishket Jatra,
Meenath Jatra and Bhimsen Rath to be pulled from Dolakha have been delivered to Dubai on
the same day. On this day, the chariot pulling program is scheduled to be held in the presence
of representatives of the private sector, the Ministry of Commerce and senior officials of the
Dubai government. He said that it would play an important role in introducing Nepal's culture
to the world, attracting the attention of investors from all over the world towards Nepal and
establishing cultural ties between the two countries.
At the Expo, Nepal is giving its presentations on reviving the ancient India-Nepal-China physical
and spiritual path, informing investors about the potential of creating economic opportunities
in Nepal and how to link it with prosperity.
The Expo, scheduled for 2020, has been delayed by a year due to Corona.
