On Sunday, the first day of the week, the stock market has seen a surge. Due to the good
growth in the stock market, the Nepse index has reached close to 2600 and the transaction
amount has also improved.
The Nepse index, a measure of share turnover, has risen by 71.21 points to 2,591.42 points. The share turnover has also reached over Rs 5 billion. A total of 861,956 shares were traded during the day, resulting in a turnover of over Rs 5.17 billion.
Shares of 30 insurance companies traded at the circuit level on Sunday. Among the biggest
gainers were National Life Insurance, United Insurance, Everest Insurance, Premier Insurance and Prudential Insurance.
