Chinese cryptocurrency entrepreneur Justin Sun, also known as Sun Yuchen, announced on Wednesday via Twitter that he is launching “Sea of Stars” campaign and will select five individuals to accompany him into a space voyage with Blue Origin in 2022.
Sun said he won the auction of Blue Origin’s first launch six months ago but missed the launch. Sun revealed in July that he paid $28 million as an anonymous bidder to join Jeff Bezos’ debut space flight, according to a Reuter report.
According to Sun’s Tweet, his five-person squad includes a prominent figure in the crypto world, a member of his cryptocurrency company, an entrepreneur in tech field, an artist. and a celebrity.
Sun was the founder of the cryptocurrency platform TRON, and fell into the spotlight after he won an auction to have lunch with billionaire investor Warren Buffett, which he paid a reported $4.6 million for the privilege in 2019.
