1500 delegates to participate in the Maoist National Conference

Kathmandu, December 23

The first national conference of the CPN (Maoist Center) will be attended by about 1,500
delegates. Party spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara informed that 1,533 representatives from organizers, advisors, senior communists, commissions, departments and states would participate.

A total of 1,460 people including 179 organizers, 149 advisors, 125 senior communists, 75
commissions, 102 central departments, 27 central representatives and 803 state
representatives will participate in the conference. Apart from this, five percent or 73 persons will be nominated on behalf of the People’s War Injured, Disabled and Former People’s Liberation Army.

The highest number of delegates will be 128 from Bagmati and 34 from the lowest migration committee. Spokesperson Mahara informed that 106 representatives from Province No. 2, 105 from Lumbini, 96 from Province No. 1, 87 from Karnali, 84 from Far West, 74 from Gandaki, 43 from Liaison Coordination Province and 42 from Upatyaka Special Province will participate.

The National Conference of the Maoists is being held at Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan from Paush 11. The Maoists have stated that all the preparations for the national conference have been completed. It is said that Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will present a political ideological report for new revolutionary ideas and party building at the conference.
