Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha has said that the US aid project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) will be a common view of the five ruling parties.
Talking to media persons in Damauli, home district of Tanahu on Monday, Minister Shrestha said that a task force has been formed in the ruling coalition to form a common view on MCC and a common view will be made public soon. He said that the contents of MCC were also being discussed within the party.
On another occasion, Minister Shrestha said that he was focused on streamlining foreign employment in the labor sector, making policy reforms and making labor diplomacy effective. He said that various reforms have been put in place to increase the opportunities for medical treatment in the country, encourage self-employment and provide dignified foreign employment.
Stating that a task force has been formed to end the incidents of fraud and deception in the name of foreign employment, he said that the foreign employment policy and action plan are being reviewed. He also said that he would search for employment destination countries with comparative advantage for employment and take initiative for the protection and promotion of the rights and interests of Nepali workers in those countries.
