A committee comprising officials of Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan, Nepal Music and Drama Pragya-Pratishthan, Nepal Lalitkala Pragya-Pratishthan and Cultural Institute has been formed to celebrate the 300th Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day-2078 BS.
In the meeting held at Pragya Pratisthan in Kamaladi on Sunday, Narayan Bhakta Shrestha
‘Ryan’, Vice Chancellor of Music and Drama Pragya-Pratishthan, Kancha Kumar Karmacharya, Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, Vice-Chancellors of the three Pragya- Pratishthan are Jagman Gurung, Harihar Sharma and Gopal Chitrakar, Secretaries of Music and Drama Pragya-Pratishthan and Fine Arts Pragya-Pratishthan respectively Shyamprakash Tamot and Vipin Ghimire and President and General Manager of the Cultural Institute Prem Nath Adhikari and Ashok Pyasi Rai Member and Nepal Pragya respectively. A basic management committee has also been formed with Prof. Jagat Prasad Upadhyaya, secretary of the foundation, as the ‘observed’ member secretary.
According to the foundation, the meeting decided to jointly organize a seminar on Prithvi
Jayanti and National Unity Day under the leadership of Prithvinarayan Shah, participation of
different communities in the unification of Nepal, book exhibition, painting exhibition,
procession with cultural montage exists. In order to make the programs systematic and effective, the meeting organized a book exhibition and painting exhibition on December 10, a symposium on December 10, and a procession with various ethnic and cultural pageants in the morning on January 10 and Wreath-laying at the statue of Prithvinarayan Shah and organizing cultural programs on the same day in the afternoon, book exhibitions, seminars and processions will be organized by Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan, painting exhibition will be managed by Lalitkala Pragya-Pratishthan It has even decided to do so.
