Kathmandu, December 17
The grand finale of Miss World has been postponed indefinitely.
FINA, which is scheduled to take place today, has postponed the event due to coronavirus infection in the contestants, organizers and staff. As soon as the competition is postponed, the contestants will return home.
The Miss World organizers said in a press release on Thursday that the pageant had been postponed on the advice of a health expert after a coronavirus infection was confirmed in all its staff.
The event could be rescheduled for 90 days in Corona, Puerto Rico, if conditions improve.
Initially, the virus spread from the dressing room to everyone, so some were even kept in isolation.
Puerto Rico’s Department of Health has ordered the competition to be stopped after seven competitors tested positive for corona and others tested positive for the virus.
The organizers have informed that the participants will be sent back to their respective countries only after testing their covid. From Nepal, Namrata has participated in the best competition.
