Nine killed in plane crash in Dominican Republic

At least nine people were killed when a private plane crashed during an emergency landing in the Dominican capital Santo Domingo on Thursday. The pilot of the plane, Helidosa Aviation Group, said in a statement that seven passengers and two crew members were killed in the crash.

The plane was en route to Florida from La Isabella International Airport in the Dominican Republic. The crash happened 15 minutes after takeoff during an emergency landing. The Helidosa Aviation Group said the accident caused them great pain and grief. “We urge you to join us wisely in helping the affected families, who are going through this difficult time with us,” the group said. The cause of the emergency landing has not been identified yet.
