On December 8, Air China flight CA4044 flew smoothly from Zhengzhou to Chengdu, Southwest China’s Sichuan Province. It has finished helping with the screening and rescue operation for children in Tibet with congenital heart disease.
The project was jointly launched by the Red Cross Foundation of China and the Seventh People’s Hospital of Zhengzhou. China National Aviation Holding Corporation Ltd provided free round-trip air tickets and carried out thoughtful transportation security services.
On December 3, the children and their family members took flights CA4410 and CA4432 from Tibet’s Qamdo Bangda and Nyingchi respectively to Chengdu Shuangliu airport.
Due to the large number of people in the team, and considering the need for language translation in the epidemic prevention declaration, Air China recruited volunteers to assist in scanning and filling in the forms so that passengers could quickly declare epidemic prevention information and make transfers more convenient.
In order to cut passengers’ transit time, Air China reserved a pick-up vehicle in advance to wait at a designated location, ready to take passengers to Tianfu airport for the next flight to Zhengzhou.
At 14:40, the team bus arrived at Tianfu airport. Air China arranged for check-in at a counter and prepared cute dolls for the children who happily hugged the toys. Before boarding the plane, there was blood pressure monitoring and other health checks for the children, so that the children and their parents could take the flight with peace of mind.
At 19:36, the CA2661 flight taken by the children and their parents landed smoothly at Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport. The expert medical staff of Zhengzhou Seventh Hospital who had been waiting at the airport then took over.
After completing the team’s nucleic acid examination in an orderly manner in accordance with the local epidemic prevention and control requirements, the children were accepted to the hospital smoothly.
After five days of examination and surgical treatment, on December 8, Air China prepared for the children’s return journey.
