Ambassador Khatiwada returns to Nepal

Dr. Yuvraj Khatiwada, the 18th Nepali Ambassador to the United States, returned home on Wednesday. After the change of government, he and other ambassadors have been recalled to Nepal.

Khatiwada, who is also a former minister, was recommended by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s cabinet in October 2020 as ambassador to the United States.

Dr. Khatiwada has also served as non-resident ambassador to the United States and its territories, as well as to South American countries such as Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala.
