The Nepali Congress is going to change the convention schedule at different levels. Senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel informed that an agreement was reached to postpone the state, district and federal conventions at a meeting of Nepali Congress office bearers held on Wednesday.
According to Poudel, it has been agreed that the municipal convention, which is scheduled to start on Asoj 9, will end before Dashain and the rest of the convention will be held after Dashain.
Earlier, the Congress had made public the schedule of holding other conventions including municipal on Asoj 9, state constituency on Asoj 12, and district convention on Asoj 15. At the same time, the state convention of the Nepali Congress is also expected to move. The conventions from ward to state will have to end before the national general convention to be held by the Nepali Congress next Mangsir.
