In five years since the launch of 4G service, its users have reached around one crore. According to the Nepal Telecommunication Authority, the number of 4G users in Nepal has exceeded 99.54 lakh till the end of Ashad.
There are currently three telecom service providers providing 4G services in Nepal. However, the competitionis mainly between Nepal Telecom and Ncell. According to Authority, the 4G users of the telecom have exceeded 47.44 lakh. Ncell seems to have the most at 50.42 lakh. Another service provider, Smart Telecom, has only 166,000 4G users.
In terms of numbers of users, 4G has added the most customers in the last financial year 2077/78. Telecom has added about 40 lakh 4G users in the last one year.
