Nepali Congress Youth leader KalyanGurung has announced his candidacy for the post of party president at the general convention.
Speaking at a press conference in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Gurung announced his candidature for the post. So far, incumbent Vice President BimalendraNidhi has announced his candidature for the post.
Although there is no formal announcement, the current president Sher BahadurDeuba and Ram Chandra Poudel are claiming leadership. Gurung even claimed that he was close to victory. “The new generation is qualified and capable to lead,” he said. “The new generation also leads the party and the country”.
