Kul Prasad KC has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Lumbini. State Chief Amik Sherchan has appointed KC, who is also the leader of the Maoist Central Parliamentary Party, as the Chief Minister in support of the four-party alliance. The signature were handed over to state chief Sherchan on Thursday with the support of 42 lawmakers to appoint KC as the chief minister.
The process of appointing a new chief minister began after Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel resigned on Wednesday. Newly appointed Chief Minister KC is taking oath of office and secrecy on Thursday.
