Chairman of the Muslim Commission Samim Miya Ansari has demanded quota for Muslims in MBBS scholarships given by India. Ansari, who is on a visit to New Delhi, made the demand during a meeting with Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Indian Minister for National Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqbi on Saturday. He also urged Muslims to set quotas on scholarships for Nepal.
In response, both ministers expressed their commitment to hold discussions with tge stakeholders.
According to Ansari, both the ministers expressed happiness over the formation of the Constitutional Commission for the Upliftment and Development of the Muslim Community in Nepal.
