PM urges attention to tiger habitat security

Prime Minister Sher BahadurDeuba has said that attention should be paid to the security of the tiger’s habitat.

Addressing a program on the occasion of World Tiger Day in Kathmandu on Thursday, the Prime Minister stressed on the need to pay special attention to keep the tiger habitat safe. “We need to focus on shelter security, smuggling, and illegal trade control,” he said.

The Prime Minister said that if the tiger is protected, the number of tourists in Nepal will increase and the locals will also get employment. He stressed on the need to save the tiger together.

On the occasion, former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal mentioned that Nepal has made significant progress in tiger conservation.
