Reconstruction of the only assembly hall in Dhunche, the district headquarters of Rasuwa, which was destroyed by the 2072 earthquake, has not started yet. Six years after the quake, the hall has not been rebuilt due to delays caused by the Reconstruction Office and political tensions.
Although there has been a lot of work in the name of rebuilding the assembly hall under the District Development Committee, the locals have demanded the immediate construction of the only
assembly hall in the initiative of the federal, state and local governments.
The hall, which was built about four decades ago has been conducting various programs such as
meetings, ceremonies and seminars, now when there is no hall, such programs are being held under
the open sky.
According to the Reconstruction Office, according to the DPR, it is estimated that it will cost around Rs. 40 crore for that construction of the assembly hall, but only Rs. 5 to 10 lakh has been allocated annually.
