Central members of the Janata Samajwadi Party and student leaders applied for separate party registration

Central members and student leaders of the Janata Samajwadi Party have applied to the Election Commission for registration of two parties. Election Commission spokesperson Raj Kumar Shrestha said on Sunday that Gyanendra Kumar Jha and Ajay Kumar Jha had filed separate applications for registration of two parties in the commission.

According to Spokesperson Shrestha, a petition has been filed with the Commission for the registration of the Democratic Socialist Party Nepal under the chairmanship of Gyanendra Kumar Jha and the Rastriya Janata Party under the chairmanship of Ajay Kumar Jha.

Earlier on Friday, Hari Narayan Yadav, close to another chairman of the Janata Samajwadi Party Upendra Yadav, had applied to the Election Commission for registration of the former Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal.

It is estimated that Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Mahantha Thakur and another Chairman Upendra Yadav are about to register each other’s old party while the party official dispute is going on in the Election Commission. By Muna Chand
