Health Minister Shrestha’s commitment to bring corona vaccine

Minister for Health and Population Krishna Gopal Shrestha has expressed commitment to bring vaccine against COVID-19. On Thursday, Shrestha, who was given responsibility of the Ministry of Health and Population, Forest and Environment, Youth and Sports, appeared at the Ministry of Health on the first day and expressed his commitment to bring the vaccine anyway. He said that priority would be given to the flood victims of Sindhupalchok.

Meanwhile, the infection rate has dropped to 17.5 percent in the last 24 hours. The previous day this number was 20 percent. Of the 14,351 samples tested in the last 24 hours, 2,476 were confirmed corona. During the second wave of corona infection in Nepal, including 4 lakh 4 thousand 8 hundred 14 people have been infected. Including additional, the total number of infected people in Nepal has reached 661,841.

Another 27 people have died in Nepal in the last 24 hours. The total number of died including more has reached 8,945. Of those, 5,666 died during the second wave. During that period, corona has been confirmed in 427 people in Kathmandu Valley.
