For the first time since the implementation of federalism, the Nepali Congress has joined the government.
Two congress ministers participating in the Karnali state government took oath of office and secrecy on Sunday. Yagya Bahadur Budha Chhetri has been sworn in as the Minister of Water Resources and Energy by Karnali Chief Minister Govinda Prasad Kalauni.
After the CPN-UML withdrew its support to the Karnali state government, the congress has given a vote of confidence to Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, who is also the leader of the CPN-Maoist Center. By Muna Chand
