President Xi Jinping on Monday visits Tsinghua University, his alma mater, days before the school’s 110th anniversary.
Xi visited the Academy of Arts & Design, laboratories on vision and intelligence, exhibitions on key research achievements and the West Sports Ground, the oldest on the Tsinghua campus. He also talked with faculty members and student representatives.
Students extended their warm welcome to Xi, calling him “Dear Senior” as Xi received his bachelor’s and doctorate degrees from Tsinghua.
