Communist Party of Nepal (NCP) dismissed

The Election Commission has dismissed the Communist Party of Nepal (NCP). Implementing the decision of the Supreme Court last Sunday, the commission has dismissed the party.

Today’s meeting of the commission has decided to implement the decision. The court had ruled that the Communist Party of Nepal (NCP) was registered under the amalgamation of the UML and the CPN (Maoist Centre) as the party of the same name was already registered under the leadership of Rishi Kattel.

According to the Election Commission, the CPN-UML and the CPN-Maoist Centre have now become active automatically after the dismissal of the NCP (NCP).
